Our Organization

The Brewster Band was formed in March of 1994 by its founder, Leah Belliveau. Its original intent was to provide music for the dedication of a new bandstand erected in Drummer Boy Park on Route 6A in Brewster. This dedicatory concert was such a success that band members decided to officially organize and provide Sunday evening concerts on the bandstand during July and August each summer.

The Band is made up of volunteer musicians from the immediate and surrounding communities. The Band is supported by grants and donations.

Our Conductor

John New is a retired music teacher from the Dennis -Yarmouth Regional School District. John is a highly skilled professional who delights the Band's members as he coaches and challenges them to new levels of performance.
